Greenview Travel & Tours: A Local’s Dream to Share Borneo’s Wonders
Greenview Travel & Tours was founded by Mr. Jamaluddin Lias, a proud local from Sukau, Kinabatangan. His story is one of humble beginnings and big dreams. Growing up in Sukau, Mr. Jamal faced many challenges, but his passion for nature and his determination to uplift his community drove him to create something meaningful.
As Sukau started gaining attention for its rich wildlife and natural beauty in the early 2000s, Mr. Jamal saw an opportunity to share this treasure with the world. In 2008, he started Sukau Greenview Bed & Breakfast, a small and simple lodge inspired by his love for the Kinabatangan River and the incredible animals that call it home.
Through hard work and a strong connection to his roots, Mr. Jamal grew his business into more than just a place to stay. It became a gateway for travelers to experience the wonders of Borneo. Over time, his vision expanded, and in 2013, he decided to dedicate himself fully to tourism. By 2014, his efforts brought international recognition, and visitors from all over the world began coming to experience the magic of Sukau.
