Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Sandakan → Kinabatangan River

Your journey begins with a scheduled pick-up from Sandakan Town, Sepilok, or the airport, followed by a scenic transfer to Sukau Greenview Lodge along the Kinabatangan River. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a short briefing and check-in. In the late afternoon, enjoy a relaxing river cruise where you may spot proboscis monkeys, birds, and other wildlife along the riverbanks. After dinner at the lodge, head out again for an exciting night river cruise to experience the jungle after dark.

Day 2

Kinabatangan Wildlife Experience

Start your day early with a morning river cruise as the rainforest comes alive with wildlife activity. After breakfast, embark on a guided jungle walk to explore the rich biodiversity of the area. Later in the day, visit the Orang Sungai Gallery to learn about the local river community and culture. In the afternoon, set out on another river cruise for more wildlife spotting opportunities. After dinner, enjoy a guided night walk and insect observation around the lodge.

Day 3

Kinabatangan → Semporna

You may opt for an additional early morning river cruise before breakfast. After checking out, begin your overland journey to Semporna. Upon arrival at the jetty, board a boat transfer to Larapan Water Village, your overwater island retreat. After check-in, enjoy high tea before heading out for your first snorkeling session in clear tropical waters. End the day with a beautiful sunset view, followed by dinner and relaxing evening activities under the stars.

Day 4

Marine & Cultural Experience

Wake up to a peaceful sunrise over the sea before breakfast. Later in the morning, visit a traditional Bajau village to experience the unique culture of the sea gypsies. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or enjoy optional activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, or sea walking. After lunch and afternoon tea, continue with another snorkeling session. In the evening, enjoy sunset views, dinner, and leisure time at the water village.

Day 5

Departure

Begin your final day with another serene sunrise followed by breakfast. You may revisit the Bajau village or spend some free time enjoying the facilities before check-out. After lunch, depart by boat back to Semporna jetty, marking the end of your tour. Optional transfer to Tawau Airport can be arranged for your onward journey.
